Margaret Virginia Sprinkle, 95, Miami, Okla., died Monday, April 15, 2024 at the Clarehouse in Tulsa, Okla.

Born February 17, 1929 in Vinita, Okla., Margaret was the daughter of Claude and Edith (Simpson) Carr. She had lived in Miami since 1951 and was a schoolteacher for 33 years teaching fifth grade at Riverton.

She received her master’s degree in education from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg. She was a member of Kansas Teacher’s Association and First Christian Church in Miami, Okla.

Margaret and Robert Charles Sprinkle were united in marriage April 29, 1947. He preceded her in death May 19, 2019.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Bruce Lee Sprinkle in 1996 and David Wayne Sprinkle in 2023; three brothers, Lee Everett Carr, Bill Carr and Richard Carr and a sister, Elizabeth Carr.

Survivors include two grandchildren, Justin Michael Sprinkle and wife Annaz of Coweta, Okla. and Robert Wayne Sprinkle of Clarksville, Tenn. and two great grandchildren, Jordan Lee Sprinkle and Katelynn Hailey Sprinkle.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, Okla. Pastor Leon Weece will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Okla. Justin Michael Sprinkle, Robert Way Sprinkle, Jordan Lee Sprinkle and Trey Green will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, Okla.
